01What is Marv?
Marv is a Windows desktop companion. You hold a hotkey and talk. Marv can look at the screen you are working on, answer out loud, and point to the next click.
02When can I download it?
Marv releases on Friday 16 October 2026. Until midnight that morning, UK time, the site takes waitlist signups. At that moment the buttons change to Download now. The installer is not available before then.
03Does it run on Mac or a phone?
No. Marv is a Windows app. The website does not offer a Mac, iPhone, or Android build.
04How do I talk to Marv?
Hold Ctrl and Alt together and speak. Let go when you are done. Marv answers out loud, so you can keep looking at your work.
05Is Marv watching my screen all the time?
No. Marv looks only while you are holding the talk hotkey, or for one capture you asked an agent to make. Pause turns the screen and the microphone off. Screenshots are sent for that request and then wiped. The microphone recording is not written to a file.
06What about passwords and banking?
Windows that look like password managers, banking, or a private browser window are blacked out before a capture is sent. You can add your own titles to that list. The list can miss a window, so pause Marv when something sensitive is open.
07Is the waitlist the same as an account?
No. The waitlist stores the email address you submit, the date you joined, and a note if you leave one. The first time an address joins, Marv emails it once to confirm. An app account is separate and is created in the Windows app.
08How much does it cost?
There is a free plan. Pro costs $20. The price is shown again before you pay, and the app does not ask you to type a card number into a chat.
